A card N card war imminent! AMD market share rises

[IT168 News] AMD Polaris, NVIDIA Pascal two new graphics card family is debut, the long-delayed graphics card market has finally been injected into a new vitality, the two market share is quietly changing.


According to the latest data released by market research agency Mercury Research, in the first quarter of 2016, the overall sales volume of the global GPU graphics card market fell by 10.2% compared with the previous quarter. Obviously, many people are waiting for new products.

AMD's share increased by 3.2 percentage points to 29.4%, while NVIDIA still holds 70.6% of the bulk.

Desktops and notebooks alone significantly increased AMD's market share by 1.8 and 7.3% respectively. The share came to 22.7% and 38.7%. Although NVIDIA experienced a slight decline, it still had 77.3% and 61.3%, respectively.
