Foreword:
What is a line brush? Why do you want to brush?
Line brush, is the use of USB cable to the motherboard memory for mass production, when the device can not use the card brush, the line brush is the only way to upgrade or repair!

Preparation tools:

The tutorial begins:
(The following tutorials are all running on XP system, please refer to other systems for your own reference)
First install the downloaded Brush tool, such as installed to the D drive (path D:\All Winnertech\PhoenixSuit)
After the installation is complete, the desktop will appear brush program icon
Open the housing of the machine.
Now connect the USB cable to the set-top box. Note that you can only insert the USB port near the network interface.
Short the following position with tweezers, as shown below:

Then connect the other end of the USB cable to the computer. If the above steps are correct, wait 5 seconds and the “Found New Hardware†prompt will appear in the lower right corner of the computer screen.
New Hardware Installation Wizard Appears on Computer Screen
Choose to install from "list or specific location", click Next, as shown in the figure, select the driver directory of the previously installed Brush tool in the browse,
(The full path is D:\AllWinnertech\PhoenixSuit\Drivers\AW_Driver)
If the following prompt appears during installation of the driver,
Please navigate to the previous driver folder and select the "usbdrv.sys" file
After confirmation the computer screen will prompt the driver to complete the installation
The above steps are to install the drivers for the Tempest D6 quad-core. After installation, please enter the device manager to check whether the computer can correctly identify the hardware. If not, repeat the above steps!
After the driver is installed, please unplug the USB cable from the computer. Now enter the Brush tutorial!
Before we open the installation of the brush machine tools, in the home page prompts the USB not connected to what do not control, directly click on the menu above a key brush, enter the brush machine interface:
Load the previously downloaded firmware. Note the following steps:
1, USB cable is connected to the set-top box,

At this time, the tool will pop up a dialog box, as shown in the figure:
Selecting YES will format the entire memory, resulting in the loss of all files such as video music stored in the built-in memory of the machine. Selecting NO will save the built-in stored data. Only the system partition will be formatted, and personal suggestions will be formatted!
After selecting YES, the prompt will appear again (you can think clearly again)
After confirming that it officially entered the brushing stage, although the above shows 3 minutes, the actual process takes about 4 minutes.
After 4 minutes, the flashing machine is finished and the tool prompts the firmware to be programmed successfully.
At this point, you have completed the set-top box forced line brush, unplug the usb line, re-insert the power plug to boot, the first time to open the initial installation, about 10 minutes or so, after the completion of the main interface automatically.
