U.S. Air Force Seeks New Acoustic Sensor Technology

The U.S. Air Force is seeking a new type of acoustic sensor technology that can locate, identify, and track squirrel-sized targets and create an activity map containing frequency and location information for researchers to research. Specifically, the U.S. Air Force is seeking a rugged portable voiceprint identification device with positioning accuracy within 2 meters. The device must be able to withstand a temperature range of 0 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit to withstand the desert winds of 50 mph. In addition, the device also needs to be able to record at least two weeks of valuable data.
