Zhongtian Technology wins the honor of the core enterprise of China Telecom Optical Cable Industry

The 5th China Communications Optical Cable Entrepreneurs Summit co-sponsored by the China Electric Appliance Industry Association Wire and Cable Branch and the China Optoelectronics Cable Branch of the Electronic Components Industry Association was held on the 22nd of July in Wuhan Optics Valley. At this conference, Chairman Wei Dong, Chairman of China Wire & Cable Association, announced the fifteen core companies that were jointly recommended by industry experts and awarded medals. Zhongtian Technology has won the honorary medal of the core enterprise of China Communications Optical Cable Industry.

Leaders and guests attending the summit included Feng Jichun, Municipal Standing Committee Member of Wuhan Municipality; Academician Wu Hechen, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Vice President of the China Electrical Apparatus Industry Association; Director of the Wire and Cable Branch; Director Wei Dong of the Shanghai Cable Research Institute; China Electronic Component Industry Association Chairman of the Cable Branch, Tang Zhenguo of the 23rd Institute of China Electronics Technology Group Corporation, and Liu Jianmin, General Manager of the State Grid Information and Communication Co., Ltd.

At the meeting, the Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering Pei Hexi interpreted the opportunities and challenges brought about by China’s broadband development for the communication optical cable industry. Wei Dong, Vice President of the China Electrical Equipment Industry Association and Chairman of the Wire and Cable Branch analyzed and looked forward to the development trend of the industry during the 12th Five-Year Plan period. Liu Jianmin, general manager of the State Grid Information and Communication Co., Ltd., and entrepreneurs discussed how to jointly promote the research and application of special optical fiber cables.

At the roundtable meeting, the colleagues from various companies paid attention to several major hot issues in the industry, such as the development trend of the domestic and international communication optical cable industry in the 12th five-year period, and the key links for industrial innovation and breakthroughs. Dr. Yang Risheng, chairman of Zhongtian Technology Group, attended the round table and made a speech. Dr. Yang Risheng first introduced the relevant situation of the Fifth International Cable Conference. He said that the world's annual demand for fiber optic cables is about 193 million core kilometers, and the annual demand in the Chinese market is about 88 million core kilometers, accounting for 46% of the world. Compared with 2009 in China, there is not much growth in China. The increase in other countries exceeded 14%, and it showed a rapid growth. He said that this requires that China’s optical fiber and cable companies must implement the “go global” strategy while meeting the needs of the domestic market. He introduced the "12th Five-Year Plan" of Zhongtian Technology's "Going Out".

Zhu Zhaozhang, Executive Director of Zhongtian Science and Technology Research Institute, Xie Shuhong, Chief Engineer of Zhongtian Technology Group, and Lan Yanrui, Chief Engineer of China-Japan Hitachi Radio Systems, attended the conference. At the meeting, the Electrical Wire and Cable Branch of the China Electrical Appliance Industry Association awarded Dr. Shen Yichun, Director of the Optical Fiber Research Institute of Zhongtian Science and Technology Co., Ltd. with letters of appointment of members of the Expert Committee on Communication Cables and Cables.
