Nichia said that the company advocates the model "334-15/X1C5-1QSA" white LED products manufactured by Everlight, a Taiwanese LED manufacturer, and is distributed by the company in Germany, infringing the YAG patent EP936682 of Nichia. That is, the German patent DE69702929).
The Dusseldorf Court of Germany adopted Nichia's claim for infringement of the Japanese YAG patent for the above-mentioned products, and issued a temporary injunction on the same day.
At the same time, based on other factors, the court did not open the court directly, and the temporary injunction was delivered to the company on October 7, 2016. However, this temporary injunction is a temporary measure, so Trader is still dissatisfied with the statement.
Nichia said that the company will continue to seek protection of patents and other intellectual property rights and take action against infringers in any country at the appropriate time.
