In the indoor environment, large-scale full-color electronic displays with an area greater than 5m2 mainly have three options: ordinary rear projection, DLP (digital liquid crystal rear projection) and LED display.
The advantages of rear projection display screens are small pixels and high resolution. The disadvantages are lower brightness, small viewing angle, and short lamp life (only a few thousand hours). The advantages of plasma splicing are also small pixels and high definition. The disadvantage is that there is a seam. The current minimum seam can reach 1mm. Rear projection and plasma display screens are suitable for closer viewing. The advantages of LED display screen are high brightness and no stitching. The disadvantage is that the pixel particles are coarse and the definition is low. At present, the density of commercial indoor full-color LED display is up to P4, which is 62500 pixels / meter 2. The LED display is suitable for viewing indoor places with a long distance.
Issues to be considered when choosing LED indoor display
When choosing LED indoor display, mainly consider from the following aspects.
â‘ Real pixels and virtual pixels. Like outdoor full-color screens, the number of pixels in indoor full-color screens is also divided into real pixels and virtual pixels.
â‘¡ Die. As with the outdoor full-color screen, it is generally recommended that the blue and green tubes of the indoor full-color screen use the Silan core core, and the red tube use the Guanglei or Guangjia core. For high-end products, it is recommended to use the die of Japan Nichia and American Cree.
â‘¢ Packaging form. There are several kinds of LED surface forms for indoor full-color LED display, such as single lamp, sub-surface sticker, three-in-one surface sticker and three-in-one surface sticker. The advantages of surface mount packages are large viewing angles, good luminous consistency, and easy automatic soldering processing. It is the mainstream product of full-color LED screens, but the price is relatively high now; the single lamp viewing angle is relatively small, the brightness is slightly higher, and the price is lower. Subsurface stickers are actually a type of single lamp. Single lamps and sub-surface stickers are relatively cheap and are a transitional product.
â‘£ Density. Because indoor full-color LED chips generate more heat and the control circuit density is higher, the dot density of commercial full-color screens cannot be made very high at present, mainly including P5, P6, P7.62, P8, P10, etc. .
⑤ Drive mode. The driving method of indoor full-color LED display is constant current driving, using dynamic scanning method (mainly 1/4, 1/8 and other scanning methods). In the case of the same die, there are more circuits for 1/4 scan, and the brightness is higher.
