People familiar with the lighting industry will hear such a message very early: The China Lighting Society and the Ministry of Labor will fully promote the "lighting designer" professional qualifications to become a new profession. The introduction of the lighting professional qualification certification will also help to standardize the Chinese lighting design market, make lighting design more attention, and gradually establish a high-quality lighting design team, which is the national implementation of energy conservation, protection The specific performance of environmental policy.
Recently, the China Lighting Network reporter interviewed the executive director of the China Lighting Society and the member of the China Lighting Society Education and Training Professional Committee, Wang Meng, on issues related to the professional qualifications of the "lighting designer". China Lighting Network: When did the China Lighting Society begin to apply for the "Lighting Designer" professional standard?
General Manager Wang: The China Lighting Society and the Beijing Lighting Society began planning the implementation of lighting designer professional qualifications in China as early as 2004. They were prepared in mid-2005 and implemented in September. For this purpose, the China Lighting Society Education and Training Program was established. The committee is fully responsible for matters related to the application. Among them, the members of the Education and Training Professional Committee include 11 experts and scholars involved in lighting-related fields. They are led by Prof. Li Nong from Beijing University of Technology and are responsible for the preparation of the “Lighting Designer†syllabus. The syllabus will refer to the North American Lighting Society (IESNA). Requirements of the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD), the European Association of Lighting Designers (ELDA+) and the Japan Illuminating Society (IEIJ). China Lighting Network: What is the general process of applying for the “Lighting Designer†professional standards? Are there any obstacles in the middle of this?
General Manager Wang: Because the China Lighting Society is subordinated to the National Light Industry Federation, the Light Industry Federation first proposed this application with the Ministry of Labor, and the Ministry of Labor has also held some designer qualifications in recent years, such as toy designers. Ceramic designers, etc., they also have such an idea for the lighting designer, so the application process is relatively smooth.
China Lighting Network: Some people in the lighting industry may have such a question when they hear this news. Why is this qualification certificate not applied to the Ministry of Construction, but to the Ministry of Labor?
General Manager Wang: Here we must first distinguish between the two concepts, qualifications and professional qualifications.
If it is a qualification for applying to the Ministry of Construction, the practice qualification is the government's access control to certain professional and technical work with greater responsibility, social versatility, and public interest. It is an independent practice or independent professional. Standards for technical work, skills and abilities. The professional qualification certificate applied to the Ministry of Labor refers to the professional level ability of the professional technicians holding the certificate, which can be used as a job-seeking, employment certificate and a statutory registration certificate for a specific profession.
So the two are different, but they are more confusing. Professional qualification is a measure of an individual's professional level. Obtaining this certificate also proves that he has relevant knowledge and skills in this industry. In fact, foreign developed countries have long established the “lighting designer†professional qualification standards, and they are all sponsored by national or regional lighting associations. In China, there are relatively few professional education and training related to lighting design. In order to meet the development needs of China's lighting technology industry and improve the professional level of the overall lighting designer, the China Lighting Society will spare no effort.
China Lighting Network: What specific work has been done in training or other aspects after the “Lighting Designer†professional standards have been approved by the National Committee of Education and Training?
General Manager Wang: We did a lot of work, such as the preparation of national professional standards for lighting designers, the preparation of training syllabus and training materials, and the selection and training of “lighting designer†appraisers. The purpose is to establish a High-quality teaching staff and expert review team. And the following students' lectures, examinations, reviews, certifications, etc., of course, part of the work we are still in the process of planning.
China Lighting Network: What kinds of professional certifications are the “Lighting Designers†sponsored by the China Lighting Association? What is the difference between them?
General Manager Wang: The lighting designer's professional qualifications are divided into three levels: assistant lighting designer, lighting designer, and senior lighting designer. Each level has corresponding application conditions, and those who pass the certification will be issued the corresponding level of "Lighting Designer Professional Qualification Certificate".
