The construction and development of Jingao can be described as fast. The first phase of the project started in March 2008 and was put into operation in August. 12 high-efficiency solar cell production lines with an annual output of 25 megawatts were built, with a total investment of 200 million US dollars. The second phase of the project will start again, and it will be 12 production lines, which will be put into operation before the end of the year.
In the Yangzhou Export Processing Zone, the Yangzhou solar cell project invested by Suntech Power Holdings Co., Ltd. is also accelerating construction. The first phase investment is 100 million US dollars, and it can be put into production in October this year. The entire project is expected to have an investment scale of US$1 billion.
Driven by the support of several major companies such as Shunda and Jingao, the solar photovoltaic industry in Yangzhou Economic Development Zone has gradually become a climate. A complete industrial chain from polysilicon to solar cells has been formed. At present, there are more than 30 solar photovoltaic industry enterprises in the development zone. Last year, these enterprises achieved sales of 14.1 billion yuan.

However, Yangzhou Zhongke has achieved 90 lumens/watt in the laboratory. This year it plans to achieve 100 lumens/watt, and next year it is ready to achieve 130 lumens/watt. In that way, they will reach the international advanced level. Moreover, their goal is directed at the high-end market, which is the backlight of mobile screens, laptops, etc., as well as large screen displays.
