US ASP added monocrystalline silicon solar cell production line


Advanced Solar Photonics (ASP), a manufacturer of laser scribing, engraving, texturing and trimming systems for the photovoltaic industry, has added a product line based on the previously announced SolarFabT project at Lake Mary, Florida. It not only includes thin film batteries, but also increases the production of monocrystalline silicon solar cell modules.

Initially, our SolarFabT production plant plans to produce only thin film modules with a planned production capacity of 40MW. However, due to the good market response of our battery panels, our company will not only produce films, but also plan to produce monocrystalline silicon panels. The capacity of this new production line will reach 25mW in the first phase and will soon increase to 50mW. Maureen McHale, marketing and communications manager for the company, said.

While ensuring last year's 318,000-square-foot production scale, ASP is building two more advanced production lines. The clean room is in place and the equipment has been installed. The production line will be commissioned in the next few weeks.

The first single crystal silicon panel is scheduled to be launched in July 2009. The busy thin film battery production plan has been scheduled for the end of 2010.

We have more than 105 Precise machining machines for processing. Our anodizing finish will assure enough time to keep it meet our quality.

Our company have two inspections : once in the production and the other is after assembling to ensure higher quality.
