The ViveX accelerator project has been running for several years. For those companies involved in this project, it is sometimes difficult to figure out what happened, but HTC and Nanome showed some of their work, including the positive impact of the cooperation between Naname and ViveX.
HTC has noticed that it is difficult for people to contact STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) subjects, because this topic is widely regarded as boring, and even tools to visualize various concepts can be confusing and alienate those People who should attract them.
HTC has no simple answers on how to appropriately attract and encourage young people to explore careers in STEM, but it is trying to find new ways to convey the appeal of STEM. Some of this work involves ViveX participants and the software company Nanome.
Nanome has grown into a company focused on virtual reality (VR), blockchain and integrated technologies. The company has been experimenting with these technologies to find new ways to visualize STEM.
One of them involves a VR graphing calculator called CalcFlow, which is free and has been accepted by students at the University of California to better visualize calculus. Pharmaceutical companies are also using another nanoproduct in their molecular design software to find new drugs that can better treat diseases.
The Vive library project will allow Nanome to bring STEM experiences to learners in more than 100 locations in California and Nevada. These users can also access Matryx, Nanome's blockchain platform.
Nanome said on the Vive blog that the company is looking forward to further cooperation to produce products like immersive virtual classrooms, laboratories and experiences to help students understand new methods in STEM subjects.
