COB technology is highly regarded for its ease of dimming, high brightness, and the ability to address issues such as chromatic aberration and multiple side spots. This has led to its widespread adoption in hotel and commercial store lighting. Over time, COB packaging has become the norm in the industry, with numerous domestic and international manufacturers launching innovative COB products. As COB technology matures, domestic manufacturers are increasingly competing with global brands in terms of performance. One notable advancement on the technical front is the introduction of a two-color COB light source with a uniform cross-distribution composite package, known as CCOB. The term CCOB originates from the combination of "Compound" and "Cross." 1. **Cross**: Refers to the even distribution of differently colored temperature emitting chips. 2. **Compound**: Involves a flip-chip structure where a bare chip unit is covered with a first phosphor layer, followed by a second phosphor layer, combining different chip units to create varying color temperatures. In simpler terms, CCOB is a two-color COB light source with a composite package that ensures uniform cross-distribution. By adjusting the brightness ratio of the two different-colored chips, the color of the COB light can be altered. Currently, many leading light source brands have introduced two-color COBs. The ceiling light featuring a CCOB source has a diameter of 135mm and uses a lens combined with a reflector. The COB light source itself measures approximately 14mm in diameter. Through the transparent glue, it's evident that the COB light source contains 22 yellow (low color temperature) and 22 white (high color temperature) LED beads, arranged alternately. This innovation in COB technology not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of lighting solutions but also offers greater flexibility in color customization, making it an attractive option for both residential and commercial applications. As the demand for smart and energy-efficient lighting continues to grow, CCOB stands out as a promising solution that bridges performance and versatility.
