The industry believes that Foxconn's investment includes some projects involving advanced LCD panel factories. At present, there is a nearly $5 billion panel plan under the name of Qunkang Technology in Chengdu. The parent company of this company is considered to be Foxconn Group.
Currently, Kunkang is recruiting inspectors and operators for the production of LCD panels, preparing for Foxconn to build an 8.5-generation production line near Chengdu. Foxconn's investment is mainly to provide a complete supply chain for LCD TV assembly, LCD module products, LED backlight modules, LED packaging and lighting source production.
Chi Mei Electronics, affiliated with Foxconn, pointed out that the company is currently evaluating the investment, but the details of the investment schedule, investment amount, location and other details are still under discussion, and it is possible to cancel the investment.
