Global LED market hot China brewing financial support policy

The development of the LED industry has become a national strategy for countries. In order to seize the commanding heights of the LED lighting industry, governments of all countries have issued policies to support them vigorously.

Developed countries’ support measures

Japan will launch a new round of policy support. Japan will directly subsidize the LED industry for the first time. This stems from a new economic stimulus package. On September 10, the Japanese government’s new economic stimulus package will be submitted to the Japanese Parliament and, once approved, will be implemented by the end of September. The plan proposes that a total amount of 920 billion yen (approximately 10.8 billion U.S. dollars) will be included in the government’s reserve funds for fiscal year 2009-10. Among them, if it is determined to establish a production base related to environmental protection such as light emitting diodes (LEDs) and lithium batteries in Japan, the government will set subsidies to encourage companies to invest in order to reduce the possibility of emerging industries such as semiconductor lighting.

The support policies of the European Union and the United States were earlier than Japan. Since 2000, the U.S. Department of Energy has invested 500 million U.S. dollars to implement the National Semiconductor Lighting Program, 13 national key laboratories, companies, and universities; in July 2000, the European Union announced the launch of the "Iridium Plan," entrusting six large companies. With two universities.

Chinese government brewing financial support

Under the pressure of energy-saving emission reduction and economic restructuring, China is planning to accelerate the pace of development of emerging industries such as LED.

Mr. Guan Baiyu, deputy inspector of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, publicly stated that many national and industry standards related to semiconductor lighting will be completed this year to complete and standardize several semiconductor lighting related standards. She also revealed that the Ministry of Finance is brewing a supportive policy for semiconductor lighting. Zhang Wei, director of the Department of Mechanical and Electrical Industry of the Ministry of Commerce, stated that key technologies, accessories, spare parts, etc. for energy-saving products such as semiconductor lighting and new energy vehicles will enjoy preferential import privileges if they meet the conditions for encouragement.

At the same time, the pace of government procurement of semiconductor lighting demonstration projects is accelerating. On August 30, the General Office of the National Development and Reform Commission, the General Office of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, and the General Office of the Ministry of Transport jointly issued a notice on “Organizing Application Demonstration Projects for Semiconductor Lighting Products”. It is proposed that “in different climatic regions, select 20 Semiconductor interior lighting applications, 15 semiconductor streetlight applications, and 15 semiconductor tunnel light applications."

This series of support initiatives stems from China's grand plan for semiconductor lighting. In the "Opinions on Energy-saving Development of Semiconductor Lighting" co-developed by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Science and Technology, it is clearly stated that China will initially establish a semiconductor lighting standard system; the annual energy saving will be 40 billion kwh, which is equivalent to an annual reduction of 40 million tons of carbon dioxide. . By 2015, the average annual growth rate of the semiconductor lighting energy-saving industry output value will be around 30%; the capacity for independent innovation of enterprises will be significantly enhanced; large-scale MOCVD equipment, key raw materials, and more than 70% of chips will be domestically produced; and the upstream chip scale production enterprises 3 to 5 Home; industry concentration has increased significantly, with about 10 key leading companies with independent brands and large market influence.

For the development of LED lighting industry, the deputy secretary-general of the National Semiconductor Lighting Engineering R&D and Industry Alliance, Jun Jun, is full of confidence. “China has many advantages in developing the LED lighting industry. We not only have a certain technical and industrial base, but also are key raw materials. Big country of production."

Good lighting in offices should provide a concise and bright environment to meet the needs of employees' work, communication, thinking and meetings, and maintain consistency and comfort between regions, so as to improve the efficiency of employees. At the same time, it can also spread a good image to visitors through office space
