Taiwanese businessman Huang Jianzhong invested RMB 10 million in the LED company Hongkai Optoelectronics, which was established in Shenzhen in 2001. He moved the operation center back to Taoyuan at the end of 2009 and set up a research and development center to prepare for the market. It is expected to be listed in 2011 at the earliest.
Chen Congqi, chief financial officer of Hongkai Optoelectronics, pointed out that the operating headquarters of Taoyuan is directly connected with Taiwan's major consumer electronics manufacturers, facilitating the near-purchase of international companies in the Asia-Pacific region, and has recently received orders from an international computer manufacturer.
Chen Congqi said that the new production line is about to be completed, and it is expected to bring another wave of performance growth, and the R&D center will continue to develop high-end products.
Hongkai Optoelectronics is currently engaged in the research and development of various LED products such as blue, white, full color, SMD, and high power, including backlights, general lighting, auxiliary lighting, automotive lighting, display modules and other products.
Its production business cluster has sales bases in Shenzhen, Suzhou, Xiamen, Dongguan, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, and Taiwan. It has nearly 1,000 employees and not only has its marketing channels but also its own brands.
Since Hongkai Optoelectronics has set up its own factory, its annual turnover and profit have almost doubled. Now the capital has reached NT$600 million.
