Lattice announces support for MIPI BIF standard

Hillsboro, Oregon, USA-February 28, 2012-At the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, ​​Spain, Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ: LSCC) today announced the use of the MIPI battery interface in the iCE40TM mobileFPGATM series ( BIF) standards. As a standard created and adopted by the industry, the MIPI single-line specification accelerates the design and use of smart batteries in mobile devices.

Optimized for iCE40 devices, Lattice ’s MIPI BIF Master solution can quickly support this standard through existing mobile product chipsets and application processors. Lattice's solution supports multiple batteries and different topologies. In addition, Lattice's reconfigurable iCE40 devices provide customers with an innovative path that can include customized functional requirements. The MIPI BIF interface is provided as an IP core within the Lattice iCEcube2TM software, allowing designers to access key functions for various applications.
