The traffic department of the Chiayi City Government said that the traditional traffic lights use incandescent light bulbs, and the outer casings are red, yellow and green shades respectively as the display surface. Therefore, the city government decided to change the traffic lights to LED lights.
The transportation department stressed that after changing the LED lights, the number of fault repairs was also reduced, and the LED light penetration was strong. At night and dense fog, the light source was still enough to be identified by passers-by, greatly improving the safety of pedestrians.
