1. Full screen point to point

Full-screen peer-to-peer, that is, the resolution of the video source is the same as the physical resolution of the display device. For example, when a liquid crystal television with a physical resolution of 1920×1080 is connected to an HDMI signal source (such as HTPC) of the same resolution for point-to-point display, the full-screen point-to-point display of images and videos can reach an optimal state without blurring or distortion. HDTV movie playback is perfect, and the font display is very clear. It is very useful for applications such as browsing web pages and editing documents on LCD TVs. Under normal circumstances, for a 1920×1080 LCD TV, it is very easy to implement full-screen peer-to-peer as long as you turn off the overscan function.

2. Non-full-screen point-to-point

The second type is non-full-screen point-to-point, ie, the video source resolution is less than or greater than the physical resolution of the display device. For example, a liquid crystal television with a physical resolution of 1366×768 connects to a VGA signal with a resolution of 1360×768 (eg, a notebook). Since the video source is input to the LCD TV, the horizontal direction 1360 is 6 points less than the 1366 of the LCD TV. The screen will be displayed center-to-point, with black borders left and right, or point-to-point on the right side of the screen. A black border will be left on the left side. If a DVI signal (such as a PC) with a resolution of 1368×768 is displayed in full-screen point-to-point display, The extra 2 points will not be displayed outside the screen. In this case, using the LCD TV to play a movie or watching a picture does not cause serious problems, but when browsing a web page or editing a document, blurriness may appear at the edges of the text. When used in conjunction with a computer, most 1366×768 LCD TVs display by default non-full-screen point-to-point, so we must manually set the full-screen point-to-point display.
