WP7 and Android are equally important

Once upon a time, Microsoft's operating system has always been HTC's favorite. HTC's smart machines have long been regarded as synonymous with high-end Windows Mobile phones. However, in recent years, HTC has successfully transitioned to the Android platform, and it seems that the system is gradually drifting away from the Microsoft system.

However, this week's Microsoft Windows Phone 7 conference, HTC took out 5 models in one fell swoop, accounting for half of the WP7 starting machine. HTC CEO Zhou Yongming said at the WP7 media conference in Taipei: “Now that we have Windows Phone 7 and Android, we will make the same investment in both, and the choice of operating system will be left to the market and consumers to decide.”

Zhou Yongming also said that after launching HTC, there will be no new Windows Phone 7 launch models for this year's 5 starter models, but there will certainly be more models next year. In addition, he also mentioned the development and promotion of Windows Phone 7, including advertising costs shared by carriers, handset manufacturers, and Microsoft. As compared to free Android, Windows Phone 7 licensing fees are not a big problem.
