DLC Release Technical Specification V4.3 Draft Edition

On October 10th, US Eastern Time, the DLC (Design Lighting Consortium) released the technical specification V4.3 draft version for consultation. The first time of the test is for everyone to interpret. Compared with the ongoing V4.2, the V4.3 draft will add Field-AdjustableProducts, Color Tuning, 3-foot, 8-foot, and 2G11-Base Replacement Lamps. It is expected that V4.3 will take effect after March 2018. It will bring huge economic benefits to luminaire manufacturers and distributors.

Add Field-AdjustableProducts

The DLC's dimming requirements will be modified to allow the QPL to include products that are factory set or on-site to adjust the luminous flux. This allows the manufacturer, distributor, or installer to adjust the luminous flux of the luminaire before or during installation of the luminaire. The proposed solution will generate huge economic benefits for luminaire manufacturers and distributors, and reduce packaging and transportation costs.

For Field-Adjustable products (including Dimmable products), the excitation test reminds DLC that it will update its test and reporting requirements:

The product must be tested in its default setting mode (if the maximum power mode is not the default mode, then in the maximum power mode).

Definition: The following two types of products are available for application.

Dimmable products that gradually reduce the luminous flux from the default mode;

Field-Adjustable products that gradually increase or decrease the luminous flux from the default mode.

Reminder detection reminder: products with adjustable light distribution are no longer considered.

Add Color Tuning

Color tunable products are defined as products that can be tuned to CCT by any type of input controller under all input conditions.

Excitation testing reminds that the requirements include two types of tonable products: White-Tunable and Dim-to-Warm.

Note: RGB or adjustable non-white products are not currently considered.

Add 3-foot, 8-foot, and 2G11-Base Replacement Lamps

The DLC will accept replacement lamp certification for 3ft, 8ft, 2G11 bases.

Currently, there are three main issues discussed:

1. Due to the limited test size of the test equipment, the test data for the 8 ft lamp is inferred from the data of the same constructed 4 ft lamp. The incentive test indicates that this speculation is open to question.

2. The test and reporting methods that will be updated now do not include the 8 ft T8HO lamp. Do you need to take it into account?

3. The test and reporting methods that will be updated will include the compatibility test of the 2G11 base replacement lamp, and the excitation test reminds the DLC to request a list of ballasts for testing.

Water Supply Pipe

PE (polyethylene) material is widely used in the field of water supply pipe manufacturing because of its high strength, corrosion resistance, non-toxic and other characteristics.

Because it does not rust, it is an ideal alternative to ordinary iron pipes. PE water supply pipe Implementation product national standard: GB/T 13663.1-2017, GB/T 13663.2-2018 polyethylene (PE) Pipeline System for Water Supply part 2: Pipe.

Crosslinked PE Pipe(Crosslinked Pe Pipe) using the first domestic co-extrusion irradiation technology, making the visible light barrier layer and ultraviolet absorption layer co-extrusion in the tube.
Our cross Linked Polyethylene Water Pipe can avoid sunlight transmission to make the water rich oxidation, and avoid bacteria, algae growth and other serious impact on water quality, pipeline transport and other serious of problems.

The Pex Cross Linked Polyethylene can avoid the aging phenomenon caused by exposure to ultraviolet rays in the atmosphere, which in turn improve the service life of the pipe.
