1. Once the insert logic block project is created, you can usually enter the editing phase of the program. As the first step of program editing, you need to create various types of logic blocks in the program. The steps to create a logic block are as follows:
- Open the STEP7 manager:
- Open the created project with the main menu "File" - "Open";

- S7 program "S7 Program" a logic block "Blocks"; in the object display area on the right side will display the currently generated logic block (usually OB1, see Figure 13-3.11);

- Right-click anywhere in the object display area to bring up the corresponding submenu:
- Select "Insert New Object" - "Organization Block", you can insert an organization block OB;
Select "Insert New Object" - "Function Block", you can insert a function block FB;
Select "Insert New Object" - "Function", you can insert a block FC;
Select "Insert New Object" - "Data Block" to insert a function block DB:
- The inserted blocks can be added to the object display area on the right side (see Figure 3.3.12).

2. Editing and setting logic blocks Right-click the logic block icon in the object display area to open the logic block (Open Obj ect), cut (Cut), copy (Copy), and pop up the corresponding options in the pop-up submenu. Delete (Delete), rename (Rename) and other regular editing operations (see Figure 13-3.13).

You can also set the attribute setting of the logic block by selecting the "Attribute Properties..." option to open the attribute setting page of the logic block.
3. Program editing You can open the selected logic block directly by double-clicking the corresponding logic block icon in the object display area. You can also open the logic block by opening the Open Object.
After the logic block is opened, the standard S7 program editing page shown in Figure 13-3.14 appears. The input, editing, and saving of the plc program can be performed by the same or similar operations as the STEP7-Micro/WIN programming software.
