Zhongtian Technology Selected for Distributed Photovoltaic Demonstration Zone

Recently, the National Bureau of Energy issued the "Circular on Implementing the Demonstration Area for Distributed Photovoltaic Power Generation Application" and identified the first batch of 18 demonstration parks for distributed photovoltaic power generation. The distributed photovoltaic demonstration area declared by Zhongtian Science and Technology was selected.

The 150MW distributed photovoltaic power generation demonstration area project of Nantong Economic and Technological Development Zone undertaken by Zhongtian Science and Technology Photovoltaic Technology Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangsu Zhongtian Technology Co., Ltd., was implemented in three phases, adopting “spontaneous self-use, excess grid access, and power grid regulation”. The operating model is more than 90% self-use. After the project is completed, it can provide 160 million KW.h of green power each year, save about 60,000 tons of standard coal, and reduce the emission of carbon dioxide by about 150,000 tons.

The “Notice” clearly defined that the distributed photovoltaic power generation project in the demonstration area implements a per generation subsidy policy and requires all project units to implement the construction conditions. Power grid companies actively cooperate with the power grid access and service work, and the provincial and local energy authorities in the local people. With the support of the government, an overall coordination mechanism for demonstration areas will be established.

According to reports, after the release of the list of distributed photovoltaic demonstration zones, the main components of the national PV support policy, the PV distributed subsidy price, the China Development Bank's financial support policy, the benchmark price of the four types of resource regions, taxation issues involving the State Administration of Taxation, and the nature of land, etc. Key policies will all be introduced one after another. The first batch of demonstration areas will be able to preferentially enjoy the national photovoltaic power generation price subsidies, and in addition can also enjoy the local electricity price subsidies, which will be a good for photovoltaic companies.

Some commentators pointed out that the batch list involves 7 provinces and 5 cities and a total of 18 demonstration areas with a total size of 1.823 GW, of which 749 MW was built in 2013, and the rest was completed in 2015. There are two demonstration areas in Anhui, Beijing, Hebei, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, and Guangdong. Among them, Zhongtian Technology obtained the Jiangsu Nantong 150MW project, which shows the first-mover advantage of the enterprise's distributed photovoltaic business. The selection of the first batch of distributed photovoltaic power generation demonstration zones is not only an affirmation of the development of the photovoltaic industry, but also a huge driving force for Nantong, adding a splendid experience to the construction of low-carbon cities throughout Nantong.
